NORFOLK, Neb. -- Friday night marked the first night of the Norfolk Concert Series presented by the Downtown Norfolk Association.
DNA's first bands to bring the music were Trick Police, a Cheap Trick Tribute, and opener Whiskey Tango Foxtrot.
The Concert Series experienced a rain intermission just before 6:30 p.m., and Whiskey Tango Foxtrot retook the stage around 8:15 p.m. The concert originally started at 6 p.m. before the intermission.
During the rain and the stage getting dried off, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot performed an acoustic set under the Roof in the River Point Square allowing for an intimate performance with the crowd.
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot continued on stage until 9 p.m. Around 9:30 p.m., Trick Police took the stage to finish out the night until 11 p.m.
The River Point Plaza was packed with those who came for the concerts, some audience members even took to the center to dance to the songs.
Concert goers were able to enjoy the free event for all ages, and the adults 21+ could partake in the Beer Garden.
A portion of Third St., in downtown Norfolk, was blocked off for the show.
There will be two more nights in the Norfolk Concert Series this summer: June 23 and July 21.
