Man arrested, accused of engaging in 'autoerotic' act while hanging from tree in Stanton County

STANTON, Neb. – A northeast Nebraska man is in custody after authorities say he was found naked hanging from a tree with rope.

According to Stanton County Sheriff Mike Unger, the suspect was engaged in a "sexual" and “autoerotic” act on Friday morning. Unger said the person was found to be under the influence.

“We didn’t know what we were going into,” Unger said of his office’s response.

Unger said his office would not release the name of the person involved to protect the person’s identity.

He said the suspect is alive and was arrested for driving under the influence since they had driven their vehicle to the location.
