Bloomfield man arrested for cocaine related charges following traffic stop
BLOOMFIELD, Neb. -- Authorities arrested a Bloomfield man on drug charges Wednesday, July 19.
The Knox County Sheriff's Office said they arrested 36-year-old Luis Antonio Moreno Vargas for drugs following a traffic stop.
During the traffic stop, the Sheriff's Office said they found a "user's amount" of cocaine.
Following the stop, KCSO served a search warrant at Vargas' home in Bloomfield.
Authorities said that during the search they found and seized a "dealer amount" of cocaine, a handgun, proceeds from narcotic sales in the U.S. money, and several narcotic paraphernalia items commonly used to package and distribute cocaine.
Vargas was cited for no operators license, and no proof of insurance. He was lodged at the Knox County Jail for possession with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm while in possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug money.
