HOWELLS, Neb. -- A woman from Columbus was involved in a rollover accident near Howells and her vehicle is a total loss.

The Stanton County Sheriff's Office said officers were sent to Highway 15, two miles north of the intersection with Highway 32, for a report of a rollover accident around 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Officials said the vehicle was driven by a 20-year-old woman, of Columbus. The driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle and went into the east ditch.

According to authorities, the vehicle rolled multiple times and ended up back on its wheels. Seatbelts were reportedly used and kept the driver from serious injuries.

Police said the driver was treated at the scene by Howells Rescue but she declined going to a hospital. The vehicle is considered a total loss.
