Norfolk woman arrested for warrant and drugs

Northeast Nebraska authorities arrest a woman who is found to have drugs in her possession.

NORFOLK, Neb. -- Northeast Nebraska authorities arrest a woman who is found to have drugs in her possession. 

The Norfolk Police Division arrested 42-year-old Melinda Taylor of Norfolk.

The police said when they checked her name in the system, they found she had an active arrest warrant in York County. 

Taylor was taken into custody. 

Police said they did a search of her purse and found a glass pipe that tested positive for methamphetamine. 

Taylor was then arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

She is housed in the Madison County Jail.
