NORFOLK, Neb. -- A semi-truck was blocking northbound lanes of traffic along Highway 81 after tipping onto its side Monday.

Around 12:37 p.m., authorities were called to a southbound semi that had flipped onto its side attempting to turn from southbound Highway 81 east onto Industrial Highway.

Madison County Sheriff's Office said the semi flipped onto its side while turning.

Despite the incident, traffic still flowed along North 81, with one lane open for transportation with the Madison County Sheriff's Office assisting with traffic control.

MCSO said the 17-year-old driver of the truck was not injured. 

Norfolk Fire and Rescue helped with the grain clean up and Highway 81 was fully open again just after 2 p.m.
