Knights' Wealth of Weapons Tame Mustangs

NORFOLK - 12 different ballcarriers, 5 passcatchers and a QB with a perfect passing night all added up to a decisive 41-14 victory for Norfolk Catholic over Raymond Central Friday night in the 2nd round of the Class C-2 playoffs.
Knights signal-caller Callen Marshall went 10-for-10 for 112 yards and 3 TDs, two to Hayden Kelley and one to Braeden Burbach. Trevin Sukup and Mason Dusek added scores on the ground, while Max Hammond booted 2 field goals, including a booming 50-yarder.
After a scoreless first quarter featuring a long drive by each team, the Knights came alive in the 2nd, going up 17-0 at the half. Two interceptions by Nathan Timmerman and another by Kelley kept the foot on the gas in the 2nd half for Norfolk Catholic. The Knights went up 41-0 before Raymond Central averted a shutout with a couple of late scores.
Norfolk Catholic (11-0) will host Kearney Catholic in the semifinals next Friday.
