Legendary Sprint Car Driver Doug Wolfgang to Headline Northeast Nebraska Motorsports Hall of Fame Induction
NORFOLK, Neb. -- Racing enthusiasts gathered from far and wide this past Saturday as Northeast Nebraska Motorsports proudly introduced its fourth hall of fame class.
This thrilling event not only celebrated the dedication and achievements of the inductees but also provided a unique opportunity for fans, sponsors, and racers to connect and engage with the sport they love.
The day was filled with excitement, as attendees got the chance to meet the new hall of famers up close, all while supporting a sport that thrives on community involvement and generous contributions.
The Northeast Nebraska Motorsports 2025 Hall of Fame included (NENMHOF) Mike Landauer from Albion, NE. Landauer started racing in 1978 winning the rookie of the year honor at Riviera Raceway (Norfolk, NE) his first season.
Robert Osborne from Norfolk, NE. Osborne started racing at 14, and has won over 30 track championships in his 42 years of racing.
The late Bill Kirk from Salix, IA. Kirk started racing in 1959, and won more than 14 track championships. Kirk helped lead the sport from Coupes, to Supermodifieds, and then to Late Models.
Marv Marushak from David City, NE. Marushak started his career in 1962 racing a homemade car. In 1963, Marushak was drafted into the United States Army putting his racing dreams on hold. He continued his career in 1965, and went on to win several championships across several tracks.
Don't miss the induction ceremony on Saturday, October 11th, during the annual motorsports hall of fame banquet at the Warhorse Event Center.
This year's event will feature an interview-style presentation with the legendary sprint car driver, Doug Wolfgang, hosted by emcee Tom Lateen. It's an evening you won't want to miss!
