PENDER, Neb.-- Two Norfolk men face multiple charges after a car chase near Pender.

The Nebraska State Patrol says the driver was 38-year-old Dayton Horton of Norfolk and the passenger was 28-year-old Darrion Chang. Officials say a trooper attempted to stop Horton on Highway 16, west of Pender at 9:15 p.m. Wednesday, but he refused to stop and continued east.

State Patrol officials say the trooper was able to successfully perform a tactical vehicle intervention and stop the vehicle in Emerson.

Authorities say Horton and Chang both refused arrest for several minutes before being transported to the Thurston County Jail.

Horton and Chang now face multiple charges.
