Huskers Post Third Straight Victory on Thursday

The Nebraska soccer team took down the Oregon State Beavers, 2-0, on Thursday evening at Barbara Hibner Stadium to remain undefeated in 2025.

The Nebraska soccer team took down the Oregon State Beavers, 2-0, on Thursday evening at Barbara Hibner Stadium to remain undefeated in 2025. 

The Huskers moved to 4-0-2 on the season, while Oregon State fell to 0-3-2. 

As a team, NU logged 14 shots, half of which were on goal. Nine of the Huskers’ shots came in the first half. The Beavers took 10 shots, including five on goal. Kayma Carpenter and Reagan Raabe scored a goal apiece for the Big Red and Raabe added an assist. Sadie Waite took two shots on goal.

Carpenter logged her game-winning goal 23 minutes into the match, a header assisted by a well-placed cross from Raabe. Raabe contributed to the scoring herself with a shot above the OSU goalkeeper’s hands less than five minutes into the second half. 

Goalkeeper Cece Villa (3-0-2) recorded her second shutout of the year and had five saves in the net. 

The Huskers will play their final non-conference game of the season on Sunday, Sept. 7 when they take on Kansas State at Barbara Hibner Stadium. The match is set to start at 1 p.m. (CT) and will be streamed on B1G+. Fans can purchase tickets at huskers.com/tickets.
