Alliance police arrest three juveniles in burglary case

Alliance police arrested three juveniles after a burglary in progress was reported Sunday on Yellowstone Avenue. One was taken to a juvenile detention center, while two were released to guardians.

ALLIANCE, Neb. — Three juveniles were arrested Sunday afternoon after Alliance police responded to a burglary in progress on the 700 block of Yellowstone Avenue.

Officers were dispatched around 3:35 p.m. and found two juveniles inside the residence. A third was outside holding a ladder that had been used to enter through a window. Police said the juveniles were in possession of a video gaming system, burglary tools, including a pry bar, and keys belonging to one of the vehicles at the home.

All three were charged with burglary. One juvenile, who was already on probation, was taken to a juvenile detention facility. The other two were released to their guardians.

The Alliance Police Department commended Sergeant Josh Norris and Officer Tyrel Hoatson for their quick response and apprehension of the suspects.
