Pender outlasts Centura, advances to state semis

LINCOLN, Neb. — The Pender girls are moving on the the C2 semifinals.

The Pendragons defeated Centrura at the Bob Devaney Center on Wednesday morning. Pender led by two heading into the fourt quarter, but outscored Centurions 14-5 in the final period to win 42-31.

Hadley Walsh led the Pendragos with 21 points while Myra Hansen also hit double digits with 12.

Taya Taukiuvea led Centura in scoring with 13.

Pender will face the winner of Hastings St. Cecilia and Yutan in the semifinals at 1:30 p.m. CT on Friday.
