CREIGHTON - Officials in Knox County have a little more information to work with regarding a man that has been missing for almost a week.

An Endangered Missing Advisory for 53-year-old Leroy Doerr was issued late last week, after it was reported that the endangered man was last seen on Friday (October 11th).

A witness told officials Thursday that a man matching the Creighton man's description was seen on the south shoulder of Highway 59, about eight and a half miles east of Doerr’s residence. The sighting was around 10:30 Saturday morning. The witness said the man was walking East, and added that he was not dressed for the cold.

Based on that information, the Sheriff’s Office is asking that anyone who may have seen a man walking Saturday morning or afternoon on either Highway 59 or Highway 81 to call the Knox County Sheriff’s Office at 402-288-4261
