Omaha Man arrested in Stanton County on California felony warrant

STANTON, Neb. - An Omaha man is facing charges after being arrested on a warrant from California.

The Stanton County Sheriff's Office says authorities stopped a speeding car south of Stanton on Highway 57 Sunday evening.

The Sheriff's Office says the driver was found to be operating on a suspended license, and a passenger, 28-year-old Nathan Vanosdol of Omaha was found to have an active warrant for a parole violation out of California. The charge was based on a weapons violation.

Vanosdol was arrested on the felony warrant and jailed pending extradition. The driver, 27-year-old Jonathan Vanosdol of Omaha, was cited for traffic violations and an open container of alcohol.
