LINCOLN - Millard North's mission to right the wrong of last year's state championship game is complete.

In a rematch of the 2020 Class A state final, the Mustang's avenged last season's defeat by downing the Thunderbirds 84-78 in overtime at Pinnacle Bank Arena on Saturday night.

Hunter Sallis led Millard North with 25 points, while Chucky Hepburn also scored 25 for Bellevue West in the defeat.

The win marks the first state championship for the Millard North boys basketball program.
