That’s Omaha Police Chief Todd Schmaderer’s view of Sunday’s deadly police shooting just outside of Minneapolis.
Schmaderer spoke with News Channel Nebraska as the officer who shot a Black man, 20-year-old Daunte Wright, during a traffic stop, has been charged with second degree manslaughter.
26-year-veteran Kim Potter, who is White, resigned earlier this week and has reportedly said she pulled her service revolver thinking it was her taser.
Schmaderer explains to NCN’s Joe Jordan why it’s “very difficult for that to occur.”
