OPD investigates armed carjacking, suspect unknown

Omaha Police said they are investigating an arm carjacking that took place Friday evening.

OMAHA, Neb. -- Omaha Police said they are investigating an arm carjacking that took place Friday evening. 

Police said that around 9:30 p.m. they were called to 4502 N 30th Street for an armed carjacking.

Officials said that the victim said he arrived at the location to sell a car, and the alleged customer took out a firearm and forced the victim to sign the vehicle title over to the suspect and the left the area with the victim's car. 

Authorities said the suspect was described as a black male, between 5'11" and 6' tall, approximately 220 to 230 pounds, with long dreads, small goatee, wearing a red bandana and a red shirt. 

OPD said that the suspect had arrived in a black Chrysler 300 with North Dakota license plate number 22J080.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Omaha Police Department and the Omaha Crime Stoppers.
