Three schools claim state titles at NSAA Journalism Championships

NORFOLK, Neb. -- Three schools were crowned Nebraska state champions this week.

The NSAA held its annual State Journalism Championships Monday and Tuesday in Norfolk.

In Class C, Yutan sent individuals to the awards podium in 23 of 25 events, en route to a dominant performance and a team state championship.

Columbus Scotus held off Elkhorn and Grand Island Northwest to claim the Class B crown.

The closest race of the week was on the final day of the competition, with Millard North claiming a narrow eight-point victory over Papillion-La Vista to claim the Class A title.
