KEARNEY, NE - For the first time, the Nebraska Shrine Bowl football game will be broadcast live on News Channel Nebraska TV and radio.

The state's most prestigious all-star game kicks off shortly after 6:00 p.m. Central Time on Saturday. It is being played at Cope Stadium on the campus of the University of Nebraska at Kearney. The game is in its 64th edition and serves to benefit Shriners Children's, a non-profit network of pediatric medical centers.

The Shrine Bowl game is being broadcast on statewide TV on News Channel Nebraska. NCN is available on almost all local cable providers and on statewide providers like Allo, DISH and Spectrum. The broadcast will be streamed from free online and on the NCN app (mobile, Roku, Amazon Fire, Apple TV). Pregame coverage starts at 5:40 Central Time. Brandon Aksamit is on play-by-play, Andy Classen will provide color commentary and Michael Shively is the sideline reporter. Shriners Children's patient Carson Schnitzler (Humphrey, NE) will be a guest announcer in the third quarter.
