More severe thunderstorm warnings in Nebraska

NORFOLK, Neb. -- Thunderstorms that pelted the state during the weekend are hanging around on Monday.
Platte, Nance, Merrick, Polk and Boone Counties in east central Nebraska are currently under a severe thunderstorm warning until 4:00 p.m. CT.
A National Weather Service spotter reported seeing a small tornado outside of Petersburg shortly after 3:00 p.m. CT. The report was later confirmed, with reported damage to a pivot. There were also confirmed reports of a police vehicle windshield being smashed by the hail in Petersburg. St. Edward also saw tennis-ball-sized hail, as did other locations in the region.
Storms have been spotted in eastern Nebraska moving at 30 mph.
60 mph wind gusts and tennis-ball-sized hail are likelihoods, according to the National Weather Service.
For your protection, move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building if in the affected area.
