Norfolk woman arrested for allegedly assaulting man with baseball bat

NORFOLK, Neb. -- A Norfolk woman was arrested for assaulting another person early Wednesday morning.
The Norfolk Police Division said the responded to a disturbance around 1:30 a.m.
When officers got there, they said they spoke with an adult male who told them he had been assaulted by 39-year-old Lindsay Johnson of Norfolk.
The man reportedly told NPD that during an argument, Johnson grabbed a baseball bat, and swung at him.
Police said he told them he blocked the swing with his hands, but was struck in the knee.
NPD said the man's hands and knee were red and swollen.
Officers reported that they tried speaking with Johnson, but she refused to talk with the officers.
Johnson was placed under arrest for second-degree assault.
She was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
