NORFOLK, Neb. -- Norfolk Police said they were called for a physical disturbance on Wednesday.

Officials said around 3:30 p.m., officers had contact with the suspect near 3rd Street and Braasch Avenue.

Authorities said Jordan T. McIntosh, 34, of Norfolk, and a female were arguing over relationship issues when McIntosh struck the female.

Norfolk Police said the woman had a cut on the inside of her lip from the assault.

Authorities said a witness had recorded the altercation and provided it to the officer. The video shows McIntosh striking her several times.

Officials said during a search, officers recovered a small amount of meth and a Clonazepam medication pill.

Norfolk Police said McIntosh was arrested for third-degree domestic assault and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

He was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
