WAYNE, Neb. -- Wayne State College says it may have been part of a security breach

National Student Clearinghouse, a provider of post secondary transcript services, identified a security breach of their system.

The breach has affected a number of institutions across the county, potentially exposing personal information.

WSC said the extent of the breach isn't know, but data could include social security numbers and dates of birth.

Students should monitor their accounts and put fraud alert in place as a precaution.
