STANTON, Neb. -- The Stanton County Sheriff's Office said there have been additional felony charges brought to two teens involved in a shooting over the weekend

SCSO said two 14-year-old boys are facing additional felony charges in connection to the shooting of an occupied dwelling in Woodland Park early Saturday morning.

The two now face felony charges of shooting into an occupied dwelling, use of a firearm to commit a felony, and criminal mischief.

On Saturday, the boys shot at a house four or five times, and the home was occupied by a young adult, said authorities.

SCSO Sheriff Mike Unger said the damage to the residence was not discovered immediately.

Unger said that one of the suspects lives in Woodland Park and the suspected shooter lives in Norfolk, she was reportedly with the two boys at the time of the incident. She was reported released on a citation, but may face additional charges, according to officials.

The motive, according to SCSO, is believed to be over a relationship with another girl.

Authorities reported that there were no injuries.

Unger said the gun that was used in the shooting was believed to have been discarded in the area of the Woodland Park Elementary School. The efforts to find the gun, so far, have been reported to be unsuccessful.

A K-9 dog team was immediately used to find the gun as well as drone technology, according to SCSO.

The Sheriff's Office asks that if anyone comes across the weapon calls them immediately or 911.

This incident remains under investigation.
