Despite the heavy snow fall, air travel in Omaha was still able to operate as normal with airfare not being affected by the blizzard conditions.

Unfortunately for those on wheels, driving conditions were hazardous to impossible across the state with NSP responding to 28 crashes and 100 motor assists.

Travel was shut down on Interstate 80 going eastbound for hours Christmas Day due to a crash involving multiple semi-trucks.

Tuesday, commuters are still being urged to utilize caution on the roads as they remain icy.

Several cities in the state were under snow emergencies including Norfolk.

Norfolk's snow emergency ended Tuesday afternoon, with the town receiving up to seven inches of snow.

Light to moderate snow is still expected to fall in the Panhandle area later this evening with heavy snow expected in Pine Ridge.

Despite the additional snow, it is expected to melt as it meets the ground.
