Plane crashes south of Norfolk Regional Airport
NORFOLK, NEB. -- The Norfolk Fire Division and Norfolk Police responded to a plane crash that occurred just south of the Norfolk Regional Airport shortly before 8:00 Monday night.
Footage obtained from the scene confirms that one plane went down; however, details regarding injuries and the number of passengers on board remain unclear.
Emergency responders from the Norfolk Fire Division, Norfolk Police, Madison County, and state troopers were seen managing the situation and investigating the area.
While Highway 81 remained open, police closed the West South Airport Road just south of the landing strip.
At this time, the cause of the crash has not been determined, and authorities are continuing their investigation.
