Head on collision westbound on Highway 24

STANTON, Neb. -- The Stanton County Sheriff’s Office reported a crash near Stanton on Tuesday. 

A head on collision involving an SUV traveling West on Highway 24, two miles west of Stanton crossed the center line striking a Sedan head East on Highway 24.

“Both drivers were taken to Faith Regional Hospital with non life treating injuries at the moment," said Sheriff Mike Unger. "Fortunately both seat belts were in use, but the two vehicles involved were a total loss. We are trying to clean up the scene which will make Highway 24 partially closed.”

Norfolk Fire Division responded with rescue units on sight and assisted with clean up, and transportation for the drivers.
