Norfolk Art Center spreads holiday joy with Parade of Trees
NORFOLK, Neb. -- Parade of trees, an idea brought on by the ladies Guild is finally back. It was reintroduced a few years back at the North East Community College as the festival of Trees and became a hit. Now, the event has several businesses involve to bring residents some early Christmas spirit.
Norfolk Art Center Executive Director Sherry Ruden said, they approached about 25 business and each one that chose to participate, paid the Art Center a fee for decorating a tree.
For all who choose who attend and look through the colorful trees displayed, they will also be given a ticket for their favorite tree to place first.
“A prize will be given but that will not be announce until the voting has been completed," Ruden said.
Viewing the parade of trees is free of charge and guests will be encouraged to cast a vote for their favorite tree. Parade of trees will be on display from Nov. 15 until Nov. 27.
