STANTON, Neb. -- A Norfolk man was arrested for speeding and being intoxicated while driving on Friday.

The Stanton County Sheriff's said they arrested 20-year-old Rogelio Xorxe Tzoc for driving 110 mph in a 65-mph zone on Highway 275 near Pilger.

Xorxe Tzoc was pulled over and found to be intoxicated. He was arrested after failing the field sobriety test.

SCSO said they also found that he had no driver's license, was in possession of an open container, and a minor in possession of alcohol.

Xorxe Tzoc was booked on those charges and later released after posting bond.

His 23-year-old passenger was cited for also having an open container.

“This type of reckless driving behavior is an example of why the Sheriff’s office strives to make traffic enforcement a top priority and rid the roadways of drunk and dangerous drivers before someone does get killed,” said Sheriff Mike Unger
