88th annual Nebraska fire school kicks off

The 88th Annual Nebraska Fire School is currently taking place in Grand Island, offering 33 classes covering various aspects of firefighting and emergency services.

GRAND ISLAND, Neb -- The 88th Annual Nebraska Fire School is underway in Grand Island, and has provided essential training to the Nebraska firefighting community since 1937.

The Nebraska State Volunteer Firefighter’s Association and the State Fire Marshal’s Training Division are collaborating to host the event at the Heartland Events Center, Fonner Park Campus, and other sites. 

Firefighters can attend 33 classes covering firemanship, rescue, fire safety, and emergency medical services. Vendor exhibits are open, showcasing the latest firefighting equipment and technology. The Fire School has provided essential training to Nebraska's firefighting community since 1937.
