My hometown is Spalding Nebraska. On graduation I went into the Field of Veterinary Technology and graduated from the University of Nebraska School of Technical Agriculture Curtis, Nebraska.   I was a Veterinary Technician for 22 years in Bloomfield, Nebraska and then decided to try something different. I went back to school for Child Development and was a Head Start Supervisor for three years in Hartington. All through this time I performed in many bands and worked at Bogners Steak house in Crofton.  My affiliation with marketing the country bands and service at Bogner’s prompted a call from a radio station in Yankton for sales and marketing.  I then made the switch and sold for three radio stations in the Yankton SD area for 17 years.  Now with Flood Communications in Norfolk I continue to help clients with their marketing and work with many of the small communities in northeast Nebraska. My background in Agriculture has helped me work with ag communities and businesses. I enjoy Flood Communications especially News Channel Nebraska TV.   The creativity in TV intrigues me and I have had the opportunity to help with many “Your Town” segments and special messages.  This opportunity has made new friendships and opened my eyes to the unique locations and historic information in the communities. I continue to perform in three bands – The OutBack Variety Band, Music Therapists and Just the Messengers a Christian based group that includes three of our grandchildren. And I am in charge of the Music at Saint Andrews in Bloomfield. I had horses through grade and high school, running  barrels and poles and in later years enjoying scenic rides through beautiful northeast Nebraska.   Playing first base I was an avid softball player on a competitive adult lady softball team from Bloomfield for several years.  My husband and I have four children and now 10 grandchildren so life is busy following them in volleyball and basketball.
