Frahm Named Big Ten Pitcher of the Week
Nebraska softball two-way player Jordy Frahm earned Big Ten Pitcher of the Week honors, the conference announced on Monday.
Frahm went 1-0 across two appearances in the circle in NU’s sweep of Michigan State last weekend. She also grabbed a save, putting her at seven on the season, which ties for the single-season saves record that was set by Rhonda Revelle in 1983.
Frahm struck out 15 batters and walked only two across 10.0 innings and allowed four hits and no runs. She grabbed the complete-game shutout in the Big Red’s 2-0 win on Friday.
The Huskers have now had three pitchers grab weekly conference honors – Frahm, Hannah Camenzind and Alexis Jensen. Before this year, NU had never had three different pitchers earn conference Pitcher of the Week in the same season.
