Mike Flood named to Independent Broadcasters Association Board of Directors

NORFOLK - Norfolk native and founder of Flood Communications, Mike Flood, has been selected for the Independent Broadcasters Association Board of Directors.
The Independent Broadcasters Association announced Thursday that it has filed articles of incorporation in the State of Minnesota and is officially in business.
Fellow board member Ron Stone said “We filed the articles last Friday, on a day where we were 96% of our 3,000-station goal. 2,877 stations had signed up, represented by just under 600 owners / operators. We continue to have additional owners signing up every day.” Stone added “An initial board of Directors has also been selected. 1/3 of Board members will turn over every December 31, starting December 31, 2021.”
Flood is one of 17 board members. Flood says, "I'm honored to serve on the inaugural Board of Directors for the Independent Broadcasters Association. Local broadcasters across this country play an important role in their community that is often understated. I'm excited to learn from others about the unique ways member radio stations are serving their listeners."
Mike Flood owns a number of local radio and TV stations across the state of Nebraska, including News Channel Nebraska.
The Independent Broadcasters Association has its first board meeting scheduled for next week.
