Pierce football player receives D1 offer from Iowa State

PIERCE, Neb. - One of the fastest-rising programs in college football wants a northeast Nebraska athlete to join its team.

Benjamin Brahmer, a sophomore at Pierce High School, received an offer to play football at Iowa State on Wednesday.

Warren Academy, a program that helps student-athletes get to the next level, shared the news on social media, congratulating Brahmer on the offer. 

The wide receiver/tight end finished his 2020 season with 44 receptions for a total of 747 yards and 10 touchdowns. The Pierce football team went undefeated and finished out the season as C-1 state champions. In 2019, Brahmer had a total of nine receptions for 120 yards, and one touchdown.

Iowa State's football program led its conference, the BIG 12, with an 8-and-1 record in its 2020 season.
