By News Channel NebraskaWAYNE, Neb. -- New starting wages and a career fair are part of an announcement by Great Dane in Wayne this week. The northeast Nebraska manufacturing plant will host the job fair on May 12th from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
As the country’s economy ramps back up, Great Dane Wayne says it is ready to help those in the community accelerate their careers, according to plant manager Tony Wiese.
“Many of our supervisors here in Wayne began their careers right on the shop floor,” Wiese said. “Through hard work and training, they have moved up the ranks and now supervise their own teams.”
Great Dane Wayne recently announced new starting wages between $18 and $28.61 per hour for trailer assemblers, welders, and maintenance technicians. The plant is currently seeking to fill a range of positions, with advancement opportunities available.
