OMAHA, Neb. -- Effective Wednesday, federal courts in Nebraska will require masks.

The change comes after the CDC determined that community transmission is high enough in Douglas County to trigger the new rules.

According to the policy order, anyone entering a federal courthouse will have to mask up regardless of whether or not they are vaccinated.

According to the CDC's COVID-19 data tracker, 42 counties in Nebraska are considered high-transmission counties as of Monday.
