Ponca man facing federal charge related to human trafficking sting

A 49-year-old Ponca man was officially charged with attempted enticement of a minor in federal court, it was revealed in an unsealed indictment Wednesday morning.

OMAHA, Neb. – A 49-year-old Ponca man was officially charged with attempted enticement of a minor in federal court, it was revealed in an unsealed indictment Wednesday morning.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s office, Timothy S. Daly is charged in connection to an incident in late August.

The maximum possible penalty if convicted is life imprisonment, a $250,000 fine, a life term of supervised release, a $100 special assessment and $5,000 additional special assessment.

Daly was among over 100 people arrested in a multi-state human trafficking sting in August.

“Operation United Front” was conducted in Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Wisconsin and South Dakota, where authorities conducted their operation during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
