Norfolk radio station delivers to those in need
NORFOLK, Neb. – A northeast Nebraska radio station is spreading cheer to those in need this holiday season.
Norfolk’s 94Rock is delivering coats, hats, gloves and food as part of its “We’ve Got You Covered” promotion.
Local businesses in Albion, Neligh, Crofton, Dodge, Leigh, Stanton, Madison, Battle Creek, Pierce, Wisner and Norfolk participated as drop-off locations for their local communities. Staff members from 94Rock have been spending the past week delivering items to local organizations.
On Tuesday, 94Rock representatives delivered hats, gloves and coats to Norfolk Public Schools.
“This is awesome,” said Erik Wilson, Director of Student Services and Safety at NPS. “It makes you proud to live in a community that’s so supportive of our families that are in need.”
LydeeJo Krueger, promotions director at 94Rock, US92 and News Channel Nebraska, said the event is special because all donations go toward the local communities in which they were originally gathered.
Kayton International sponsored the effort, along with Merry Martini, Citizen State Bank, Kookaburras Kloset, Scranton Flooring, Karpet Shop, Thrift Warehouse, The 4th Jug, Warren Garage Door, Sapp Brothers, Two Blooms, Wolf’s Den, Meds N More, Wanderlust, Peacock Interiors, UnitedHealthcare, Battle Creek Post Office and Pierce Dental Office.
94Rock is owned by Flood Communications, which also owns and operates News Channel Nebraska.
