NORFOLK, Neb. -- A Norfolk man was arrested Monday after an alleged protection order violation.

Norfolk Police officers were called to Dover Drive shortly after 7:00 a.m. on Monday.

Officers had contact with the protected party who stated that Jose L. Arias Quiroz, 31, of Norfolk, was just at her residence. He reportedly left when she contacted the police.

Officers verified that the protection order was in effect and that the protection order barred him from being at the residence. They searched the immediate area, but did not located him.

Later in the morning, officers located Arias Quiroz in the 100 block of Miller. He was questioned about the incident and then arrested for violating the protection order.

He was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail
