Two vehicle accident near Battle Creek leaves two in hospital

BATTLE CREEK, Neb. -- Authorities responded to a two vehicle crash Tuesday evening in northeast Nebraska. 

Officials said that around 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, a Chevrolet Silverado was southbound on 546th road, attempting to turn left onto Highway 275, just outside Battle Creek. 

Cody Thomas from the Nebraska State Patrol said that as the pickup entered the intersection, a westbound Jeep Renegade struck the driver's side of the vehicle. 

Thomas said that the driver and passenger of the Jeep were both transported to the hospital in Norfolk. 

NSP said the driver of the Chevrolet was not injured
