AARP Nebraska provides free tax assistance and preparation

Seniors can start getting help getting their taxes prepared today.

NEBRASKA -- Seniors can start getting help getting their taxes prepared today. 

The AARP Foundation is providing free tax assistance and preparation through its tax-aide program. 

There are 20 location around the state where trained volunteers will offer options for providing taxpayer assistance. 

Interested seniors can schedule one-on-one appointments with the AARP for sessions. The tax returns are usually prepared the day of the event.
