Omaha woman arrested after Stanton County traffic stop

A 19-year-old Omaha woman was arrested in Stanton County on Friday afternoon following a traffic stop.

NORFOLK, Neb. -- A 19-year-old Omaha woman was arrested in Stanton County on Friday afternoon following a traffic stop.

Stanton County Sheriff Mike Unger says Elizabeth McCarty was stopped for going 87 miles per hour in a 70 mph zone on U.S. Highway 275.

Unger says a search of her vehicle revealed concentrated THC, marijuana and an assortment of drug paraphernalia.

McCarty was booked at the sheriff's office on felony charges and has an initial court appearance in March.
