South Dakota man arrested for alleged assault in Norfolk hotel room
A South Dakota man is in custody after a Saturday morning incident in Norfolk.
NORFOLK, Neb. -- A South Dakota man is in custody after a Saturday morning incident in northeast Nebraska.
Norfolk Police were called to the 1200 block of S. 13th Street for a reported assault shortly before 5:30 a.m. Saturday.
Officers had contact with the adult female victim who had reportedly been assaulted by KC Ducheneaux, 36, of Mobridge, South Dakota.
The woman explained that she and Ducheneaux were in an argument earlier and that during the argument, he began to punch her several times.
According to Norfolk Police, the woman had bruises and injuries to the both sides of her midsection. After the assault, the woman left the hotel room where the incident occurred.
Officers then contacted Ducheneaux, who officers said was intoxicated, and spoke to him about the incident.
Ducheneaux was then arrested for third degree domestic assault.
He was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the
Madison County Jail.
According to NPD, Ducheneaux has cases currently pending in Furnas County for domestic assault, terroristic threats, and use of a firearm to commit a felony
