Vehicle damaged by fire in South Sioux City

A vehicle was damaged by fire in northeast Nebraska on Sunday.

SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Neb. -- Authorities responded to a vehicle fire in the parking lot of a northeast Nebraska McDonald's on Sunday evening.

The blaze was reported at approximately 5:45 p.m. at the restaurant located on Dakota Avenue in South Sioux City.

Firefighters and police were on the scene to help put out the flames. Witnesses reported seeing smoke crossing Dakota Avenue at the 6th Avenue intersection.

No official word has been provided on the cause of the blaze, any potential injuries or the extent of any damages.
