Norfolk man arrested for two alleged incidents inhaling from aerosol cans on Monday

A 29-year-old Norfolk man is in custody after police reportedly found him in a parking lot inhaling from an air duster aerosol can.

NORFOLK, Neb. -- A 29-year-old Norfolk man is in custody after police reportedly found him in a parking lot inhaling from an air duster aerosol can.

Norfolk Police were called to the parking lot in the 1100 block of W. Omaha Avenue for reports of a man sitting in a car inhaling the fumes from an aerosol air duster can on Monday afternoon.

When officers arrived, they reportedly found the individual slumped over in the driver’s seat with an air duster can in his hand.

The manwas identified as Zachary R. Wilsey, 29, of Norfolk.

Officers collected the aerosol cans from him and issued him a citation for inhaling compounds.

Less than two hours later, a different person reported that that they witnessed Wilsey inhaling from an air duster can at the same location.

Officers made contact a second time, reportedly finding Wilsey in possession of more aersol cans.

Wilsey was then taken into custody and housed in the Norfolk City Jail. He was later transferred to the Madison County Jail. Wilsey had also been booked for previous offenses in February.
