House fire breaks out, west of Pierce

Responders are battling a house fire southwest of Pierce, Saturday.

PIERCE -- A house fire broke out west of Pierce this weekend. 

Just before 11:30 a.m. Saturday, responders got a call to Pierce-Neligh Road, south on 541.

Black smoke billowed from the home from miles away. 

Responders from Plainview, Osmond and Pierce arrived and battled the fire for more than an hour. 

There is no official word on any injuries, damage estimates or cause of the fire at this time.
