NORFOLK, Neb. -- Two people from northeast Nebraska were arrested after police responding to a fight located drugs.

At approximately 6:00 p.m. Thursday, Norfolk Police were called to 2400 West Pasewalk Avenue for reports of a disturbance. A witness was on the phone with dispatch and described seeing a man and a woman physically fighting in the parking lot near their vehicle.

The pair reportedly entered the vehicle and drove off. The witness followed and described seeing the two continuing to hit each other inside the vehicle while driving down the road.

The witness followed the suspect vehicle until officers had contact with them in the 1400 block of Omaha Avenue.

The driver was identified as Chelsea L. Carman, 26, of Oakdale, and the passenger was Dennis J. Wilson, 30, of Norfolk. NPD said both had injuries from the mutual assault between the two of them.

In a search of Wilson, officers reportedly located several small baggies of methamphetamine. Wilson was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and third-degree domestic assault.

Officers located a pill in a clear plastic bag in the center console, NPD Capt. Michael Bauer said. The pill was identified as the prescription medication Adderall.

Officers spoke to Carman about the pill and she did not have a prescription for the medication, Bauer said.

Carman was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and third-degree domestic assault. She was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail
