WINNEBAGO, Neb. -- Several northeast Nebraska fire departments responded to a structure fire in Winnebago Monday afternoon.

The fire was called in just before 2:00 p.m. Monday afternoon on the 100 block of Thunder Way in Winnebago. Aiding the Winnebago Volunteer Fire Department were firefighters from Walthill, Homer and Dakota City.

Winnebago officials posted on social media that local water may appear brown due to sediment being stirred up when firefighters were battling the blaze.

Strong winds and dry conditions helped contribute to the fire, officials said.

No injuries were reported.
