NORFOLK, Neb.-- North Fork Area Transit will begin operating their much-anticipated Forklift flex route bus service on Monday, April 4th.

The bus will provide service to all marked stops along the routes Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm, approximately every 30 minutes. The general manager of North Fork Area Transit, Jeffrey Stewart, talked about how things are expected to go.

"So, we're actually doing a light launch which will be a trial period for the month of April. Free rides for anyone that wants to ride and try our service," Steward said.

Weekend service and a third route will be added this fall. The public is invited to ride the Forklift for free from April 4-30. All vehicles are wheelchair accessible and have bike racks available as well.
