NORFOLK, Neb -- A Norfolk woman was arrested on Saturday after she reportedly threatened another woman with a knife.

Norfolk Police was called to an apartment in the 600 block of S. 1st Street just before 9:30 p.m. Saturday.

Officers spoke with the caller, who stated that 36-year-old Amber R. Bruguier, of Norfolk, came to her residence and knocked on the door. The caller stated that she answered the door, at which point Bruguier started yelling and swinging her fists at her.

The caller said she then backed into the kitchen, where Bruguier grabbed a kitchen knife and began swinging it at her.

The victim caller said she then retreated to a bedroom where she was able to contact 911.

The incident was witnessed by the victim’s children, NPD Capt. Michael Bauer said.

Officers went to Bruguier’s apartment and located the kitchen knife in a hallway near her door. Officers had contact with her and placed her under arrest.

She was arrested for attempted second degree assault, use of a weapon to commit a felony, terroristic threats and child abuse.
